In 2016, the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) found permanent homes for more than 200 children waiting in foster care in Massachusetts!  Anyone who understands the complexities of the adoption process and the foster care system knows that this is an incredible feat.

Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange’s (MARE) impact on Massachusetts in undeniable.  As part of its work, Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) has forged a partnership with Jordan’s Furniture, another great Massachusetts company, that supports the recruitment of families and placements of children.

As part of their substantial corporate social responsibility partnership, Jordan’s and MARE hosts a signature peer-to-peer event, The Jordan’s Furniture Walk Run for Adoption,. On May 21, the 8th annual event brought over 500 people together to raise upwards of $80,000 for their cause. http://jordanswalkforadoption.org.  “Jordan’s Run Walk for Adoption is a great example of how companies, charities, and families work together to improve children’s lives right here in Massachusetts,” adds Megan Dolan, Director of Development, at MARE.

Founded in 1957, Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) finds permanent adoptive homes for children and teens living in foster care.  It works with the Commonwealth’s Department of Children & Families and its contracted agencies to register each child that cannot be reunited with his or her birth family and then recruiting families that meet an individual child’s very specific needs. In the past 60 years, Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) has helped more than 6,500 children join nurturing, stable homes through its history of innovative programming.
